Down 6-3, and they had the tying run come to the plate in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings. The call was BS, but you are 100% right. Braves did not deserve to win that game.

If you were looking for Reds/Giants Game 2 last night in San Francisco, it was on TNT, while TBS had Yankees/Orioles Game 1, thanks to a lengthy rain delay in Baltimore. Turner Sports probably does the same thing later today if there are any Divisional Playoff overlaps.

Arroyo threw a seven inning 1 hitter last night. Impressive in the playoffs for a pitcher that isn't even average.

No doubt, he is making me have a hard time making up my mind on who I want to lose the most, the Cards or the Reds.

Not an act. good dolphin claims Arroyo isn't even an average pitcher. I've disagreed.

How old was the quote you dug up that revived that thread? 2 or 3 years old? I am not sure why you would feel the need to bring up someone talking shit about one of your pitchers years ago...in seperate threads now, no less...

...unless you are more interested in bragging about your team than you are about actually enjoying their success.

I'm loving this Arroyo angst. I dont think Mr Arroyo himself thinks he is as good as NSJ does.

I don't think he's a great pitcher. He's not. Good as a #3.

I'm rooting for the Cards today. I'd love to see a Reds/Cards NLCS.

Me too! Being in Milwaukee for game 6 last year was pretty special. Would love to see the same thing happen in Cincinnati this year.

I have no earthly idea how this garbage Orioles team wins games. It really is amazing.

I am unconcerned.

I am so so unconcerned about this series that even this terrible joke elicited a slight chuckle from me. I am laughing with you, not at you, Mr. Frank Costanza.

Oakland should not be worried about the Tigers.

According to Pythagoras and Joe Orr Road Rod, every once in a while a less than deserving team will rise up by way of the Glorious crapshoot that is the MLB Playoffs.

I have no idea what Bill "The Wizard" James' magic computer says about run differential, but here is a team that scored exactly seven (7) more runs than it gave up. They only had one pitcher in double digit wins - Ying Chen, who had a mere twelve (12) wins. Yet this team magically won ninety-three (93) games! So not glorious. Mundane, really.

For the love of Jesus The Lord, they started JOE SAUNDERS against the defending American League Champion Rangers in a single elimination game and won!

Conversely, the closest comparable team in run differential, the Philadelphia Phillies, finished at .500 and scored four (4) more runs than it gave up.

If the Orioles win this series, I will go on a hunger strike until Joe Girardi is fired.

No need to do that. Though you could improve the lives of many others if you went on a CSFMB posting strike.

Too easy. That would be like Gandhi giving up steak. The British are not going to leave India if Gandhi threatens to give up steak.
