I have a recurring nightmare in which Ryan Braun ends up on the Giants and hits a big HR against the Cub. |

Dombrowski dealing, pulls Pomeranz for a single A arm suspect. Rich Hill's trade value just went up. Astros indicating Scott Feldman's available; possibly Pat Neshek and Josh Fields as well. |

Chances a Single A suspect with an ERA approaching 5 ever logs 100+ innings of sub 2.50 ERA in the majors? Good trade for the Red Sox. |

But the prospect was VERY highly ranked and was a big price to give up. You are making it seem like it was some throw away turd in Single A. He wasn't. He is projected to be a front line starter. |

Mark Melancon to the Nats .... Cubs hitters do okay against him ... still, if he was with the Pirates he couldn't do much damage. |

Quote: The Milwaukee Brewers have an agreement in place to trade All-Star catcher Jonathan Lucroy to the Cleveland Indians, according to multiple reports.
Lucroy, 30, must first approve the deal because of his limited no-trade clause that allows him to block trades to eight teams, including the Indians. The clubs are in the process of exchanging medicals. A source told Fox Sports that the Brewers would receive four players from the Indians if Lucroy signs off on the deal. A two-time All-Star, Lucroy is batting .300 with 13 homers and 50 RBIs. He has a $4 million salary this year as part of a contract that includes a $5.25 million team option for 2017. Lucroy was held out of Saturday night's 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates as Milwaukee considered trade possibilities. The Indians have been in the market for a catcher since Yan Gomes, who struggled most of the first half, was put on the DL on July 18 with a shoulder injury. Gomes is expected to miss four to eight weeks. Lucroy has spent his entire career with the Brewers, who drafted him in the third round of the 2007 draft at No. 101 overall. |

Lucroy holding out for a deep-pockets team that will foolishly give him an 100+ million dollar extension as soon as he's traded to them. |

Astros front office has adopted the A's ABS model: always be sellers at the trade deadline. the idea is to keep cycling Lake Wobegon level talent through the system/40 man so that you make the playoffs often enough to give fans hope but never put together a team capable of winning it all.
