Bar argument here tonight. If Chapman shits his pants every time he comes in without a clean 9th inning, how good can he be? I don't know shit about baseball, but give me Jansen, who's not afraid to work an 8th every now and then, over Chapman every day.

Andrew Miller, he can come in any inning and shut it down.

And then will stick around another inning or two just to be a dick.

I'll be surprised if the Cubs can get one base runner on off him the entire series, still pissed they wouldn't trade Schwarber for him.

havent the cubs seen miller plenty and beat him around? wasn't he a terrible starter for the marlins for a while?

Jansen is really hot now but that cutter could turn sour at any time and he would become a meatball machine.
Chappy is just not very smart pitcher.

Seeing how great he is and how Francona is using him plus the shitfest that is Strop and Rondon, in retrospect I'd say fuck yeah, Schwarber for him and then getting Chapman would be making these games 6 inning affairs.

Britton or Melancon.

Next tier would be Miller, Betances, Chapman, Jansen

Then guys like Familia, Kimbrel, Colome, Oh

They still wouldn't have beaten Cleveland...Probably would have beaten Texas, though.

Jansen, Melancon, Chapman all free agents after this season.

Jansen is the guy I want them to pursue. Always ready to give you a 4-5 out save if you really need it. Trade both Rondon or Strop and give Carl Edwards the 8th.
