Some might say it is too early to make that proclamation, but as someone that correctly called ... a) Jake Arrieta as a future Cy Young winner when he had a ~6.00 career ERA b) Rizzo being vastly superior to Abreu c) September 2014 prediction that the Cubs make the playoffs in 2015 d) Starlin Castro becoming a preeminent middle infielder e) Eric Thames as one of the game's top power bats ... well, body of work and all that. |

Not to pick nit, but the title makes no sense. If you analyze baseball and are part of a generation, you are a generational baseball analyst. |

I didn't want to do this but you are forcing my hand: in that post from 2014 where you wrote that Baez was bad defensively you also said that Alcantara was a future star. |

You can link me to the post, but I believe I said they both had a ton of potential. I don't believe I made any guarantees on Alcantara's future stardom, but I could be wrong. I don't recall. In Baez's minor league career, he was bad defensively. His FLD% was between .940 and .970 at various infield positions. Facts are facts. I cannot say I watched a ton of Baez in the minors. |

I'm just keeping you humble. |
