I doubt both Seattle and Oakland keep this up (I think the A's will be in and Seattle out) but if the Yankees don't make the playoffs do you think Boone is one and done?

arent they like 5 games up on the WC? I don't think they'll miss out on the playoffs.

Yankees having a complete meltdown in the 9th. Up 4 to 1 with 2 outs. Chapman loads the bases and suddenly it is a tie ball game.

Well any doubt you've ever had about Judge are pretty much gone at this point, but the rest of them dont scare you.

Gary Sanchez has been a total disappointment, to think the Yankees hung up on the Sox when they demanded him for Sale! Yikes, bet they wish they could take that one back. I'd rather have Moncada even. Gleyber Torres had one great game against Baltimore (who is a very easy opponent to have a great game against) but other than that he's been terrible for well over a month. Severino looks more than solid, but he's the only pitcher they have. Everyone else is kinda trash.

The rest of it? It's whatever. They get some nice contributions for guys you'd expect (and some you wouldn't), but the Impending Yankees Apocalypse seems pretty weak. Their prospect cupboard is not what it was a year ago. They gave up a lot to get Sonny Gray and David Robertson/Tommy Kahnle (both trades look absolutely horrible, the latter a complete robbery as Rutherford is squarely back on the prospect map) and the rest of what they have coming up is not on the level of the guys they've already called up. They'll drop a shitload of money but whatever, we know that doesn't work for them.

And the Red Sox complete the comeback and win to sweep the series.

Yankees chances at the division maybe over and they have a couple teams right on their heels for the wild card

They should have never fired Girardi

Boone's almost certainly toast if they dont make the playoffs, and right now they do not seem like they are going to hold off the ALW teams. The "hire a guy just to do what the puter tells him" threat has seemingly past for.now.

I can't believe they lost that game. I went to bed with them leading 4-1 in the eighth.

The Yankees are still going to win 90-95 games. Boone isn't going anywhere. They won't blame him for having to go against the best regular season team since that 2000 Mariners team.

This feels like the beginning of a historic Red Sox collapse

Indians are right there. Bauer has maintained his new level. Kluber, Carrasco, and Bauer? Plus Ramirez, Lindor and Rajai Davis on the basepaths? Good fuckin luck.

With Andrew Miller back and a relatively easy cake-walk to a division title and an ALDS against the Astros, Indians should be rested/well-situated to take on any of the other AL teams in the post-season. Typical of Dave Dombrowski built teams, Red Sox bullpen is their achilles heel.
Red Sox will have to take on whatever team wins the wild card and would you really wanna play the A's this season with a suspect bullpen.

Astros screwed up their clubhouse bringing in Osuna. A 75 game suspension for PED's would mean post-season ineligibility but since Osuna was suspended for DV he's post-season eligible.
