I got the Astros in our work pool. (We draw random teams for a pool) Hard to pick against the Indians, but I feel a Red Sox surge coming. If D'Backs get past the WC game, they will be a tough out. |

Why are the Yankees such heavy favorites today? I think there is a close to 50% chance they lose yet they are laying 260? Sure it is in Yankee stadium but these aren't playoff tested Yankees of the past. I'm not sure they have an advantage in starting pitching. The Diamondbacks, who I think have a much better chance of winning are only in the 170 range, to put this in perspective. |

Severino has been lights out in the 2nd half though |

Just looking at the Greinke's post season numbers and I completely forgot the Brewers actually went to the NLCS in 2011 They won Game 5 of the division series in extra innings. Kind of memorable, but I guess not. |

But in the second half, Severino found a new level (cuz Pedro gave him some pointers) |

I wish baseball would go back to 1 wild card team. Both the Yankees and Diamondbacks finished 6 games ahead of the Twins and Rockies respectively. MLB thinks they're appealing to younger fans by having a win or go home game after 6 months of baseball. The standings speak for themselves. Because of game number 163, Severino and Grienke won't be pitching in Game 1 of the ALDS and NLDS. |

Only one of them is pitching on the road tonight. What that means for tonight's game is probably nothing. |

I wish they can both lose but I think the Twins eek this one out tonight. |

Kind of a moral victory for the Yanks to not allow any more runs there. |

The moment proved too big for Severino Well at least I'll be able to come back for game 2 if they Advance which I still think they will for some reason I see this being the "Yankees Bullpen gets 26 outs wildcard game" |
