I can't believe the voters didn't object to Thome like they do Bonds and Sosa. That dumb ass cracker was absolutely on steroids. No failed test for Thome. Nor was there for Sosa and Bonds. This is absolutely racism by voters. I'm not kidding. |

Thome wasn't on steriods the same way Frank Thomas wasn't on steroids. I have family who know Thome's family downstate. They are massive people. To question Thome, you have to question Thomas. |

Why is it that only white people are called "Country Strong". Black people are never called that. Black people never get that benefit of the doubt. I find that interesting. |

Here's what it was. Thome pretty much behaved like Forrest Gump with the media through out his career. Media is mostly white. White people love Forrest Gump. So Thome gets in the HOF. And this act was done on purpose by Thome to get people to like him. Throw them off the scent. Where as Bonds was an ass hole to the media. |

I'm surprised that Rolen got so little support. For him to be behind McGriff is criminal, so to speak. Edgar Martinez is my personal cause. I hope he gets in next year, but if he doesn't I think he'll get voted in by the veterans committee. |

i recall edgar martinez looking quite steroidy and was still raking at age 40.... hit .294, over .400 on base with 24 hr and almost 100 rbi in his age 40 season... sure that was all natural |

Rickey Henderson, Mike Piazza and Jeff Bagwell were also on roids. All in the HOF. It's all arbitrary as to who voters decide did it and who didn't. But for Thome to get this many votes on his first ballot is amazing. His head grew twice the size from his rookie year. That's not normal. People used to make fun of Bonds for his head growth. With Thome, voters believed, like some of you guys here, it's just because he worked out.
