That was the worst White Sox trade since I've been alive, apart from possibly the Bonilla trade.* Fogg, Kip Wells, and Sean Lowe. Fogg and Kip would have had a few good years on the back end of the Sox rotation. I think Lowe eventually got injured. I used to follow Kip and Josh on the Pirates...

*I don't think the Sosa-Bell trade was necessarily bad, but it was good for the Sox in the short run and good for Sammy. Big Frank (both Thomas and our own Costanza) would have ran him out of there at some point.

Rowand for Thome? How was that a bad trade? Thome was a beast for the Sox. It wasn't his fault that Brian Anderson couldn't hit, and that Ozzie kept playing Rob Mackowiak in CF.

Foulke for Billy Koch was a pretty bad deal too.

Rowand & Gio Gonzalez was a stupid trade IMO b/c the Sox were so clearly not a championship contender.

Value wise it wasn't that horrific but still stupid.

The Sox traded Rowand in November of 2005. They were absolutely a Championship favorite going into the 2006 season.

The second time the Sox traded Gio, they won the division.

Gio for Swisher was easily the worst.
The Tood Ritchie deal gets the 2nd place award....my favorite was listening to Kenny try and share the blame with Ron Schuler....garbage.
