So what the hell is going on w/ this guy? It's spring training and he's not even in camp signed. Nobody is going to sign him? It' be funny if he signed w/ the Cubs for a rock bottom price out of desperation. |

Over-estimated his own worth. Hanging his hat on 2015 and some playoff success. That said, it would be excellent if he signed back with the Cubs on an opt out deal. I'm worried he will go to the Nats and then dominate the Cubs in the playoffs. |

I think the fact that Theo/Jed wanted nothing to do with him, especially after firing Bosio... I think that spooked the market. I'm surprised that the Yankees didn't offer him a deal that was very low in 2018 but with massive two-year vesting incentives to kick in for 2019 and 2020. Something like 8/35/32/30 - 4/115. |
