Unless the Cubs know for sure that Harper has them and only them on his free agent destination list, Theo has to pull the trigger on that Addison Russell-Manny Machado deal if the Orioles come back to the table this summer. |

I did not realize until Almora was on M&P the other day that he and Machado are so close that they might as well be real cousins. They have known each other since childhood. |

If you do that trade, you basically have to have Machado's extension ready to sign then. |
