David Schuster 18 mins · Yu Darvish threw a bull pen session today and reported pain afterwards. A bad situation could get a lot worse shortly Bad signing. Now be a big market team and swallow it and move on and replace him. If Heyward keeps up the above average play it's a wash anyway, Darvish just takes the Heyward bad contract spot |

If there is no insurance type tool for signings like this there should be. Cubs were warned but they look to have gotten screwed. |

This will definitely not be mentioned in Theo's Hall of Fame acceptance speech. |

So what's the injury? |

Many assumed he wouldn't be back before the ASB anyways. Him pitching this weekend was among the most optimistic of scenarios, so let's not panic just yet. |

Seriously the guy just had some pain. Nothing official yet. |

(@GDubCub) Darvish bullpen "did not go well," Maddon said. Will be reevaluated before next step determined. "He felt pain on extension, he said," Maddon said. 1 hour ago · Twitter |

All this said, how mind blowing would it be if this guy can't pitch anymore. |

Send him on his way. Just make sure he doesn't drive and kill someone. |

Pretty sure how that works is that Theo & Jed take a drive down to Dixon and buy a couple of kickass mountain bikes. Then they ride over to your house and tear up your yard while chanting "tour de france sucks" over and over again.

Not a big loss considering he provided nothing to the team this season. Upsetting to lose $20M or whatever, though. JA Happ or Cole Hamels, come on down! |
