It's down to 16? Egads!

And nobody will pay attention to Hawaii's thread. This needed to come from me, Frank, or dolphin. You're welcome.

I'm glad Sox fans have an interest in meaningful September baseball. It truly is the greatest game.

Should be interesting!

Note that this definition is slightly different than the one traditionally used with MLB. Click a team name to proceed to the team playoff picture page.

That's a different way of defining it. That is saying if the Brewers win 17 straight, they are in for sure.

Traditionally, the magic number 163 - team number of wins - team chasing them losses = Magic number

20 for the Brewers
18 for the Cubs

Nobody said it was gonna be easy. The Brewers are solid and that Hader is apparently untouchable.

Preseason prognosticators had only about 1 or 2 wins different between these two teams. Either team coming out on top was well within the margin for error.

JORR, GD and the rest of you Sox fan trolls can still kiss my ass. Jerks.

Right now, the Brewers are the better team. Hope the Cubs can turn it on and wake up the bats. The pitching has been good actually.

I was delivering pizzas making about $60 a night pre tax. And I didn't pay tax.

Now I make about $250 a day pre tax and I pay tax.

When Sox fans have nothing to celebrate, they resort to just hoping the Cubs will fail to have the success that was projected for them in 2018. Now that feint hope is fading. It would be really sweet if the Cubs could clinch in the final game of the series VS the Sox, but that would require the Brewers lose every game while the Cubs win every game between now and that game on Sunday. But still, that would really be sweet.

2012.

I distinctly recall that--not on this board, but elsewhere.

At least my friends who are Sox fans have class and don't act like a lot of people on social media who actively root against the Cubs. The Cubs/Sox thing is played out and boring.

How dare someone root against another team! That's really mean! I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

I enjoy having Sox fans root against the Cubs. It just makes it sweeter when the Cubs continue to succeed. It's a great time to be a ubs fan and will continue to be for years to come.

7 runs in 2 days off of walks, a hbp and a wild pitch. You have got to be fucking kidding me.

Add a run off of a pick off throw to first hitting the runner and bouncing away.

Absolutely astounding. I have never seen a team gifted so many runs in 2 consecutive games.
