About 30 years ago. Now it would be tame. Mickey Mantle liked to drink and fuck, and some players didn't like their teammates. |

I read it in high school, there had been an update around 1980 and I read it my freshman year of 85. I enjoyed it. |

Iirc there was an afterward that described the anger and resentment of his teammates about the book. And how relatively tame the stories seemed in retrospect. |

I started it today and he's mentioned Lou Piniella a few times already as being a grumpy young player. Nothing changed I guess. LOL |
