Off to a 2-1 start and ready to embarrass the Cubs as usual. |

Too bad they aren't working on a vaccine for "Cubbie on the Brain"! Still no known cure. |

Good start. 3-game sweep would’ve been nice. On to Minneapolis! |

Cards and Cubs are pretty much same record/position in standings. They BOUGHT (Lester) for the stretch run. We sat there and traded everybody like dumbasses. Good for the Cards. They never traded Molina or Wainright. They ride thru the ups and downs. |

Cards had a similar bad stretch in May& June and bounced back. We coulda, too, and had 2 months to do it. The 2007 Rockies were 73-73 on Sept 15. Won 14 straight to get to the playoffs and then the World Series. There wasnt any gay "master plan". You just put ur good players out there, ride thru the ups and downs, knowing that sometimes you will hit and sometimes u wont. |

A bad stretch? 8-22 is a train wreck. |

And they have not won the WS in 10 years, so that plan seems to be working great u must be a teenager. Go back further. They won in 2006. Then again in 2011. With the same core. Since then, theyve made the playoffs most years. It's not about winnin' the World Series every year. NOBODY does that. But you make the playoffs most years, u give urself a chance. Look at the Yankees. After their 4 titles in 5 years, there were some changes, but they kept their Core-4 and eventually won another one in 2009 as well as kept making the playoffs every year. They didnt just dump Jeter in 2002 at the first sign of not winning a World Series. |

They were a mediocre team 5 weeks later. Then won 17 in a row and made the playoffs. In that time, Lester has pitched great. FUCK BULLY HOYER |
