I know not many of you play baseball these days, but back when you did, little league, high school, or college, did u ever face a fuckin side-armer, and if so, how did you do against him? What was the orientation of each guy? For example, was he righty and u batted lefty? |

I and some other pitchers used to go side-arm at times, particularly when right handed hitters(right handed pitcher throwing) got on top of the plate. Starting a pitch at a guy's ribs was a great pitch. |

As a lefty, if you threw a Wiffle Ball sidearm, with the holes on the bottom, and threw it with moderate pace directly toward the ground with a curveball spin, that thing would track about an inch or two off the ground until it passed the plate and then rise to knee-waist level. If you setup a box as the “catcher” for purposes of having a strike zone. You were unhittable. |

I was probably the greatest Wiffle Ball pitcher of my generation. I was not allowed to pitch any longer because it was no fun for my friends. The Dr. Ken Rules. |
