Was there any World Series buzz? I didn't watch any post season baseball. Honestly, I think I'm done with sports except the NFL. It's just not as exciting as it was when I was a kid. Sad. |

not much buzz until the last game when dodgers got covid and covered it up . Plus analytics fucked over Tampa. George Springer is looking to leave Houston. Cubs desperately need a lead off hitter. This guy would be perfect. But they probably won't. |

The six figure salary from DePaul you helped sponsor? Or no kids and living on the south side without a Range Rover? I mean he is in his early 40s, right? |

I had this weird dream that the White Sox hired Tony LaRussa as their manager. |

I'm not questioning whether he can afford it. Laurence makes pretty decent money. His time slot up until about six months ago would have never allowed him to go to the games (nights during the weeks and days during the weekends) |

When they broadcast the White Sox, he'd frequently go to the ballpark after his half hour show, during Rongey's pregame. That was usually about the time I left work in those days, and didn't yet have XM. |

You can get season Tix for Sox pretty cheap, I'm sure every producer at the score could hustle up 900 bucks. |

The only season tickets I ever had were a 9 game pack to the White Sox in 2005. It was only $660 for 2 seats for mostly a third of the way up section 110. I sold the Yankees, Cubs, and Red Sox tickets for about $500 total with basically no effort, gave a pair to a cousin and his daughter's boyfriend (now husband) who were both massive Sox friends for a birthday present, and went to 5 games with my dad or with friends for $16 a ticket. What's cool was that my cousin's son in law had the "ok, I'm going to propose to your daughter in a couple of weeks" conversation at that game. He had been dating her for a few years, but it was a good time to get away from the women and discuss plans. |

Mets wanted to speak with Stearns about their President position, Brewers told them to pound sand according to Morosi. |

Yeah, they had said even before COVID that they couldn't realistically meet Lindor's salary expectations for his next contract. I am surprised that the Mets decided to trade instead of focusing on just spending. Hopefully they can pick up Baez (who would love to play with Lindor) and help speed up the Cub rebuild as well. |

There maybe more playoff spots then teams trying if they stick with 8 per league again. Barely could fill them last year. |

I hope they go back to only the two WC teams. I do like the idea of them playing a 3 game series though. Hopefully the NFL goes back to 6 teams next year as well. |

HawaiiYou wrote: Lindor going to Mets Good trade for the Mets, neither SS is earthshattering so it's really just the prospects. Now Jed should pitch the idea of Baez and Kimbrel to Jared Porter. Baez has said that he would love to play with his friend Lindor, and would volunteer to move to 2B if that ever happened. Get back JD Davis (who would play 3B after they trade Bryant), a #7 starter to replace Rea, and some face-saving lottery tickets and call it a day. |
