According to source, #Angels slugger Albert Pujols was upset that he wasn't in lineup to face #Rays LHP Ryan Yarbrough last night, and that the decision to bench him came from front office, not MGR Joe Maddon. Pujols was 6 for 9 with 2 HR, 2 2Bs, 7 RBIs vs. Yarbrough. |

Im guessing at worst, he gets a sizable chunk if not all of it. Besides that , Joe couldve pointed to baseball reasons why Pujols shouldve played against that pitcher citing his numbers against him. Im not going to sit here and beat the poor Albert drum but it seems like thats an odd place for Angels management to draw a line after years of middling production . Whats one more game. . Let him play against that guy whom he's owned, THEN DFA him. |
