If the home team bats, there are 18 half innings in a game. I'm aware there have been a few occasions (2 i believe) where a team has scored in every single half inning But what is the combined record? Is there a game where runs were scored in 16 of 18 innings? 14? 12? i googled and can't seem to find an answer |

I remember a game quite a while back where the Cubs allowed at least one run in every inning, but don't have an answer as to both teams scoring in every half inning. That would be a slow game. |

Doubt it ever happened more than 9 innings. I'd imagine each team would have to score at least 15 or 16 runs each to carry over and continue scoring into extra innings.
