"It's time to win the World Series", John McDonough declared in 2006 after Dusty Baker wilted under the pressure. "It's Time to Win the World Series" What a load o' bullshit. He said that, only to fail the following years, again and again. But this time, we've got the Yankees and Dodgers. Finally, a World Series where the great teams played like the better teams and didn't get upset by younger wildcard upstarts. John Boog Sciambi is on the call on MLB Network Radio. |

The ex-Cub factor says that the Dodgers will win the series. The Yankees have 3 ex-Cubs I believe. Rizzo, Torres, and Mark Leiter, Jr. 4 if u count the injured Lemahieu. |

He’ll of a game. The fan interference may have saved the Dodgers. 10th inning shoei up down one with a runner at second. |

Echo of 1988's game-winning home run to right field in Game 1 of the World Series in the wake of the death of a legendary '80s Dodger pitcher. This is too much lore! I love it! |

I think Dodgers are going to roll through the Yankees. Dodgers had to get by SD and Mets. Yankees had to get by Sox killers. |

They showed a graphic a while back for pitchers with the most strikeouts on sliders this year: Dylan Cease, Chris Sale, and Carlos Rodon. You're welcome MLB. |

Joe Davis almost came when Stanton hit a hard grounder off the bag. I don’t hate announcer enthusiasm but I hate the Yankees, so I’m in a tough spot here. |

ARod is doing a reverse Sosa. He looks like he went Tony Montaña in a pile of bronzer. |

This Yankees lineup is abjectly terrible. If you get by Judge and Soto, and don’t throw the ball on the only swing plane that Stanton swings on, the rest of the lineup is awful. Like their big bat off the bench today was Jose Trevino. That’s like pinch hitting Rick Wrona. Also the Dodgers with their max bullpen strategy is unwatchable. I’m no friend of the Yankees, but the call seems pretty easy here. |

What happens to all the "classic world series" and "Yankees in 7" dipshits when Buehler shoves it up their ass Monday? |

At least I’ve heard of Buehler…not so much Clarke Schmidt. |

This Fat Joe show is one of the oddest things I’ve ever seen to open a WS game. Shut up and start playing. |

Nobody was going to beat the Dodgers this playoffs after they got woken up by the Padres. The real world series this posteason was Dodgers/Padres. Yank's won't get back to the WS in another 15 years. |

Last night encapsulated everything that is wrong with baseball in the year 2024. 15 pitchers to get 54 combined outs. 3 and 1/2 hours of men more or less standing in place. It should be played on a loop in MLB headquarters to remind those in charge how unwatchable the game is when played like that. |

The biggest problem with last night's game is that the Yankees were never really in it. I wonder if Boone is going to pay for this World Series failure with his job? |
