I would be okay with flushing a significant part of an upcoming season if it would get this competitive balance situation sorted out. At least a quarter of MLB teams are basically playing in a different league than the Dodgers. That type of imbalance fuels cynicism and breeds disinterest. It's also going to take more than a salary cap to get that done. There's basically a de facto cap already with the luxury tax.

Offered MLB $200M for 2026, a cut from $550M this year.

Spring training is getting absolutely swamped by NFL free agency as well, especially locally. Whenever, I turn on the radio it's Bears, Bears, Bears.

It appears that the Angels have now amassed Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada (hurt of course), and Nicky Lopez. It's like mercury accumulating in the body of a fish.

Why don't these idiots have a game on tonight? No NCAA tournament basketball to compete with. They could "kick off" the season with something like the Yankees in LA against the Dodgers. It would draw big ratings for a league that could use a boost nationally.

The Angels are going to be brutal. It's Mike Trout (until he gets injured), Zach Neto (who is already injured), a few White Sox cast offs (great locker room presence), and 20 guys who couldn't make a AAA All-Star Game.
