Any prediction for White Sox or Cubs players ?

I'm thinking Soto on the Cubs, and I wouldn't be shocked if Thome's name came up.

id be shocked to see thome or thomas on there. while thier power numbers havent gone down all that much, the average sure has and they've been hurt a lot.

Not sure about Soto since he is a younger guy. I think Thome is a possibility. Reports say anywhere from 60-85 players will be named.

I'm pretty sure Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Prior, Wood, Rafael Palmeiro, Juan Gonzalez, Curt Schilling, Roger Clemens and Eric Gagne will all be on their. No big suprises.

I think this report is a joke. 68 players ?

I think at least half the teams are juiced up on HGH, which there is no test for, and previously probably a higher % than that.

Even if you think my percentage is high, wasn't this covering the a 3 or 4 year time period ? 2003 to 2005 ?

I'm sure a few of the names on the report will keep the attention from the fact that this report is a joke.

If a player is not named in this report it doesn't mean he's clean, it mean he wasn't dumb enough to get caught.

There is absolutely no fucking value to it.
There were over 100 players who tested positive back in 2003 leading to implementation of the testing policy.
Last I checked,
100 > 68, still.
So I guess Mitchell didn't even have access to those test results :?
That's all I needed to know.

I'd say with 32 teams in the league, that there are at least 300 players in the league taking HGH or some other undectable form, and there are just a few who get caught because they are complete morons.

If they really wanted to fully investigate the issue, the travel records of the players would be more telling then medical records.
Every player that had personally visited or had members of the family visit Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic or any other country that historically relies on pharmacists to distribute drugs that are controlled here in the States would be a suspect.
Bottom line is that MLB, NFL, or the NBA has no desire to curtail the usage beyond the cosmetic appearance of the current policies. Smaller, slower, and weaker competitors would be bad for business.

You're just a rotten old spider, Mr. Potter. You sit there and spin your little webs, and by golly, it's just wrong, wrong I said.

Didn't you read the headlines about that Harry Bailey? Never took a steroid in his life, that boy.

I can't figure out why Bud Selig did this in the first place. Just admit everyone screwed up and move on.

By the way Mark Prior? Really?
He must have been taking those bizzaro-steroids that make injuries worse.

I must have missed that or just not allowed myself to believe it.
Given that most of the guys on that list have had injuries, makes you wonder what came first the chicken or the egg?
Injuries cause by the junk or junk taken to come back from injuries?

i didn't want to believe it either; i don't remember who wrote it, if it was bob ryan, but it was a speculation about him using during his time with the red sox, then i think it dealt with the cubs injury...and adding questions there.

i ask the same question about the injuries...

There's some obvious missing names (e.g. David Eckstein).
