Read today where Curt Schilling won't be ready for Spring Training because of his shoulder injury. The Red Sox are looking into ways of possibly getting out of his '08 contract, that will pay him 8 million. I really wish he would go away and retire, but I got a feeling ESPN will pick him up for Baseball tonight. |

As the resident Red Sox lover in these parts, allow me to point out that the man went 3-0 in 4 postseason starts with a 3.00 ERA. He struck out 16 and walked 3 in 24 innings. You gotta agree that those are pretty nice stats for a guy who was pitching with a PARTIALLY FUCKING TORN ROTATOR CUFF!!! Quick, someone clone Curt's sack and transplant it on Mark Prior. |

Agreed, he has been and still is money in the playoffs, and for the most part in the regular season. I would rather have a slightly healthy curt shilling who knows how to pitch over at least 3 of the cubs starting 5. |

This has all the makings of being a GREAT season. No Schilling! No Bonds! No Clemens! No Sosa! If Sheffield gets his dumbass arrested or hurt I will be in baseball heaven! |

I'm well aware of Pooey's pudness, Musty. Unfortunately, he'll be around for a while whereas the other shit birds I named have an excellent chance of NEVER seeing a baseball field again. |
