Hate it. If they want to go someplace that would be 'giving back' for providing all the great talent, they ought to play somewhere in latin america. |

They need to just play the games here. Japan is too far away to have a baseball series. |

I could care less "where it's at"* . It will be easier to watch at 5 a.m. (Central) than it was at 3:00 am when the cubs opened there a few years back..... Anybody else making plans to get up early and watch? *("I got two turntables and a microphone"......) |

I have no problem with opening overseas but the really stupid thing to me is they come back and play EXHIBITION games afterward. That's ridiculous |

This is not about giving anything back - it's about taking the Japanese/Asian advertising and merchandising dollars. |

Yeah - that happens every time we set our clocks ahead in the spring. |

i stayed up monday night/tuesday morning, and went to bed early last night and got up to catch this morning's game. i like it, except for the scheduling. as somone pointed out, they come back and play exhibitions, which is a little off. if they'd scheduled the games for friday and saturday, then made their next game monday or tuesday, that would make more sense. they'd probably have attracted more late-night american viewers, too. |

also, at this point, baseball is no longer "america's game." it never really was, to begin with (japanese baseball started recreationally around the same time ours did, and their major leagues began in the 1920's; latin american baseball has been played throughout the 20th century, as well). if you want something to claim as "america's game," which is a senseless title to begin with, try american football. we're the only idiots in the world who think that shit is awesome, and it's clear that it will never catch on elsewhere (see: nfl europe / int'l exhibitions). |

its bad, they take 2 home games away from oakland and their fans. and its not like when the giants played in london so we could sorta recruit more fans internationally, as suckers playground said japan already plays baseball. |
