Tigers have 13 hits in three games.

Gotta love it.

my gf's dad is a huge tigers fan. they are from detroit, and are great fans of all things detroit (except, ironically, the city itself) so i understand, but it's most obnoxious during baseball season.

that said, i couldn't be happier (even if the sox had done it) especially with zack "existential crisis" greinke's outing today.

Hopefully Contreras can bring it tomorrow, although I wouldnt be surprised if the Tigers light him up.

I really have a feeling Contrearas is going to come back with an excellent year.

The key to beating the Tigers this year is patience at the plate. If you can get their bullpen in the game, every game is winnable.

Thats very true dolphin, but you also have to contain that lineup. If you get into the Tiger pen, but are down 5 or 6 runs, you aren't going to win very many. I understand hitting is streaky and good pitching beats good hitting 17 times out of 20, but there is no easy out in that Tiger lineup.

but weve seen this kind of lineup with the yankees from the past few years, and even though its not as good as those 2, the cubs had a pretty damn good lineup last year. hitting wont carry you into the playoffs because as you said, hitting is streaky.

Not the most auspicious of starts.
