I didn't know Sosa was out of MLB until a couple days ago. I thought he was still with Texas. So, that means that Sosa, Bonds, and Clemens - assuming they don't come back - will be eligible for the Hall of Fame the same year. 5 years from now.

They all can be shamed, together, by not being voted in despite their gaudy numbers. I think it is very fitting that all 3 of these guys - poster boys of the steroid era - will be up for the HOF at the same time.

That would be a year I would support voters simply not sending in a ballot as a show of protest

IT also shows that teams don't want to deal with this crap anymore. Dunno about Clemens, but Sosa and Bonds clearly have a little left in the tank, as a DH or pinch hitter if nothing else. Teams don't want to deal with the media attention, or the DBag players themselves. Major props to them.

I'd prefer them to use this opportunity to vote for guys who have been wrongly excluded from the HOF like Bert Blylevn, Tommy John, Jim Rice, Andre Dawson and Harold Baines. It's too bad they let the HOF voting process turn into such a joke. Teddy Greenstien has a vote and Vin Scully doesn't. Fuckin stupid.

Blyleven, for sure. Dawson, ehh. Harold Baines, no.
