Why did Jocketty wait so long? I'd think he could've received a better return if they traded Dunn a month ago. The Reds weren't going anywhere and they weren't going to resign him. Strange. This will certainly help the D'Backs especially since they've lost Orlando Hudson for the year. |

Best part of this trade is for a little while at least, I won't have to hear the constant unsubstantiated Dunn trade rumors all over the place like they've been the last few summers. |

AZ sent Dallas Buck to the Reds in the deal. Dallas Buck was a horse in the 2006 College World Series for Oregon State leading to a title, but he was hurt since he was overused. He had Tommy John surgery last year and is starting to pitch again. He is 1-5 this year, but the hope is he returns to throwing in the 90's maybe next season. Basically Arizona traded some potential for a slugger who's hitting 230. |
