Those ringing sounds you are hearing in the background are cash registers & phones for agent Scott Bora$ on behalf of Manny Ramirez. When that trade was made at the MLB Trade Deadline, it was a deal more to get Manny's shtick out of Boston & to stop being a distraction to the Red Sox & their bid to repeat as World Champions than to help another team. Since #99 arrived in Los Angeles, he's done practically everything & then some as the Dodgers have now become the team to beat in the pisspoor National League West. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether he's cut his hair as he said he'd do for manager Joe Torre... |
