I'm not really surprised that the two top records in MLB this season are out. While the Anaheim Angels have had trouble with the Boston Red Sox in recent years, what happened to the Cubs vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers was quite a shock. Even though the Dodgers have played very good baseball since Manny Ramirez came to L.A. in that three-way trade & Joe Torre's October record as manager speaks for itself, they completely dominated that series vs. the North siders, outpitching, outhitting, outscoring & outmanaging Lou Piniella. I won't be shocked if the Dodgers find a way to shock the Phillies and represent the National League in the World Series. Besides that, Torre has a chance to be fitted for another World Series ring in his first season with L.A., while the New York Yankees count all the ways they couldn't make it without him in the dugout.
