The sportswriters saved some face today with their AL MVP selection. Congrats on getting it right and giving the award to a truly VALUABLE player.

eh, I have nothing against the choice. It didn't really seem like a stellar group to choose from this year.

It's hard not to argue with the choice, Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia. The only other deserving choice was the Rangers' Josh Hamilton, but his team wasn't even close to contending.

TCQ got a 2nd place vote and finished 5th, that's pretty good for missing the last month I guess.

Thumbs down to me, fans. I absolutely forgot about Carlos Quentin! Had he not broken his wrist following a miserable swing vs. Cliff Lee of the Indians in September, #20 in silver & black would've fared a lot better among voters for the American League MVP. That was my fault!

This will go down as one of those MVPs people forget. This was definitely Quentin's to lose at the time of the injury and it is obvious the impact he had on that team from start to finish.

May be in your world GD but not in mine. My Pedroia man-love runs deep. Not Brett, Jeter, Gwynn deep but he's well on his way.

Well he'll NEVER reach Harold Baines status and Harold's not white or half-white. Unfortunately I can not comment on if he sounds white. :D
