Fans, today is supposed to be the start of Major League Baseball's regular season for almost every team, yet something's wrong in my opinion. The Braves started the MLB season last night in Philadelphia vs. the World Champion Phillies at CitizensBank Park, when it should be the other way around. Weather has already forced postponement of the Royals/White Sox & Rays/Red Sox openers respectively. A quick glance of the Day 1 schedule also shows the Dodgers/Padres in San Diego, Brewers/Giants in San Francisco, and the Mets/Reds in Cincinnati. While I agree with teams like San Diego & San Francisco starting their seasons at home, teams in the North & East should be starting their respective regular seasons in warmer cities where weather isn't as big of an issue as it is in places like here in Chicago & Boston. If you think it's an issue now, just wait until November when the World Series this year could end!

I agree with what you are saying...but do you think that starting the season in the sunny south and west would give teams in that area an unfair advantage?

I'll hang up and listen to your answer.

We bring this stupid topic up every year.
Why?
What's the point?
This is the way that the schedule works, or had worked for a CENTURY. Let's just handle it.
Pussy ass Sox couldn't even take the field today when it's not raining/snowing or anything like that.

BTW, the season was pushed back about a week this year.

Many that is true, but an incomplete statement.

Yes, I did notice that and think it was a good idea...but I am wondering how or if it's going to affect October???
