Dumb Fuck Frank brought up Joe Sewell strikeouts. The only one I can think of is Dimaggio's hitting streak!

While not a major sport, I do see Tiger overtaking Jack Nicklaus in major
championships. Jack has 18 while Tiger is currently at 14 with the US
Open coming up in less than 2 weeks. This would be a major feat for
those of you not well versed in golf. No one was ever expected to
come close to Nicklaus in regards to majors.

Unfortunately, I saw a few records get broken a few years ago when I moved ... I broke a couple of my old Rolling Stones 33½ albums. Tragic.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure ANY of the old records will ever be broken, even with all the suspicion surrounding Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire & Sammy Sosa smacking all those homers using performance enhancements. Given how specialized the game has become, even in the steroid era, you don't see pitchers going the complete game route like they used to. We haven't seen a dominating pitcher win 30 games in a season since Denny McLain did so in Detroit back in 1968. You don't see anyone come close to Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak either. I think the only streak that may not last the test of time is the saves streak in a single season that Frankie Rodriguez set just last year for the Anaheim Angels before signing with the New York Mets in free agency.
