The Tribe traded in their own division

Other than the Pittsburgh Pirates, few teams EVER trade within their own division, Walt. Before the Indians made the deal yesterday to trade Carl Pavano to Minnesota for the "player to be named later", Carl was originally scheduled to start tonight's game at U.S. Cellular Field vs. the White Sox. That was before Justin Masterson, part of what the Red Sox gave Cleveland in return for Victor Martinez, got the spot start instead of Pavano. Interestingly enough, Pavano was the winning pitcher this eve as Minnesota manhandled Detroit 11-0 at Comerica Park.

Hey SHARK: Everybody knows who Carl Pavano is on the field, but I was wondering about him off the field. What do you know? Any good nuggets? Has he ever had any famous girlfriends/wives?

Spanky, when Carl Pavano was a Florida Marlin, he was once linked to Alyssa Milano. Yeah, the same Alyssa who America watched grow up on "Who's the Boss?" as Tony Danza's TV daughter & became a bitch on both the original "Melrose Place" and a witch on "Charmed". Alyssa's been linked to a number of baseball players, and is said to be an item right now with Dodger catcher Russell Martin.
