They are all pretty much locked up except for AL MVP. If the Twins win the divsion (which I think they will) Joe Mauer will win. If the Tigers win it will be Derek Jeter. Here are the other winners: NL MVP- Roidface AL Cy Young- Zack Greinke NL Cy Young- Adam Wainwright AL ROY- ROY NL ROY- Chris Coghlan |

I would say Carpenter has a good case for being the Cy Young...makes me wonder if the votes between him and Wainwright will be split and someone else wins it...which would be a shame, because both have had amazing years... |

Carp has a case but I can't see a starter with less than 200 innings pitched winning the Cy. Carp has 187 with 1 start remaining while Wainwright has 227 with 1 start remaining. |

I'd be happy with Waino or Carp, but it would be amazing to see Carp come all the way back... he didnt pitch until, what, middle of May? |

Started the season...injured second game (middle April)...came back like you said, middle of May I can certainly see the case for both...and while I appreciate that Wainwright has given a full season, for the games he has pitched Carpenter's been better... |

Doesn't Sabathia have one more start? If he gets win #20, I think he may give Greinke a run for it. |

Greinke's a lock. agreed 100%, if Greinke doesn't win thats a pretty bad screwjob. What about Tommy Hanson or J.A. Happ for NL ROY..? I see those as 1 and 2 and then the rest of the pack. |

Those two have had excellent seasons (so has Casey Mcgehee) but Chris Coghlin has been a little better. He's playing everyday and has generated a .319/.389/.457 line. Coghlin was called up on May 8 and has hit 9 HR's 44 RBI and scored 76 runs while hitting leadoff for a team contending for a playoff spot. Coghlin also has the most hits in all of baseball since the all star break (Jeter is 2nd). He's had a great season and deserves the ROY award. |
