I don't care for him or like is arrogance either, but he is getting it done this year. He has gotten big hit after big hit for that team this post season |

Look at the years of Jeter, Damon, Textiera, and the rest of the crew. They have 2 other guys in that line-up that will finish in the Top 5 of the MVP voting. |

I just think they are a better team this year, and everybody is riding the wave. I would also have to go back and look at numbers for each year and I am not Irish Boy.  Yes, they had talent, but it was a team that for whatever reason could not win the whole thing. Also, I don't if they will win it all this year or not, but I like their chances.

Yeah this is probably the best offensive team and best situation for him, but theyve all been great offenses. The pitching shouldnt affect him at the plate. I really think the steroid thing made him stop trying to be the perfect player the 252 million dollar man. Now he's straight balling like the SEA days when he was actually likeable. Even before the steroid admission in Spring Training with ESPN's Peter Gammons, Alex Rodriguez has been a target of criticism among New York sports fans since putting on the #13 Yankee pinstripe uniform and signing one of the biggest contracts in the biz. That's a big reason why fans have been hard on A-Rod to begin with...Also, Rodriguez may have put up monster stats during the regular season, but has been ordinary at best during postseason play. New York fans also point the finger at Rodriguez's October flops at why the Yankees haven't won the World Series since 2000. Additionally, Rodriguez had plenty of other distractions last year, even though the Yankees didn't make the playoffs. Alex was supposedly seen with a stripper at a Toronto nightclub, had a bitter divorce from his wife, and was even linked to Madonna, which didn't seem to have much merit to begin with. Now, Rodriguez is supposedly linked to Kate Hudson, and has been spotted at a number of Yankee games this season...What Rodriguez is doing NOW is big, not just for the Yankees and their fans, but for his own confidence. |

Hawg Ass this place is best consumed when "mellow" the 04 remark was more an answer to your question about "what about the 04 yankees?"; i just took the position of...why didn't they win anything? because he is a mental midget, i am not discounting your theory about the steroid thing; i'd like to see his numbers from the day that was outed until now, to see if there was an immediate jump or anything. but when you're hitting behind a guy like textiera, good things are coming your way. he used to hit *in front* of guys like that. i still think what's relaxed him is moving down in the lineup. cleanup seems perfect for him. in...more ways than one...i suppose. |
