Heading to the Saturday Cubs game at Miller Park...does anybody know when the parking really opens for tailgating? I've heard that it only opens up 2 hours before game time to tailgate, while others have said they have tailgated "all day", 6 hours or more. So far I haven't seen any details on the Brewers site or around the net. If anybody has any experiences or info, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

The gates for the stadium probably open up two hours before gametime, but I know you can get up there fairly early for tailgating. Not sure on the timeframe, but I know it's definitely longer than two hours.

2 hours appears to be right according to this website below...
http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/ba ... ctions.jsp

Depending on what you are there to do my recommendations are
to get there at least an hour before the gates open if you want to
have the area you want. Personally I have tailgated in the preferred
parking Miller lot just east of the stadium and enjoyed it the most.
If you are able to park close to the Sausage Haus you have a short
walk to the stadium and plenty of clean bathrooms to use in that building.
If you want to play bags or washers or whatever you have plenty of
room for that as well right there. Depends on if you want to spend that
kind of coin to park. They don't generally hurry you out after the game so
conceivably you could spend 6 or 7 hours there if you didn't go into the game
but I don't think they open up 5 hours before the game.

Tailgate after the game. That parking lot is terrible to get out of after the game.

Nothing says fun like drinking 6 beers after the game, and then driving home for 90 minutes.

He'd have to bring his mom along as the DD. How did that work out for you last time?

Thanks guys. I think we are going to try and tailgate for 3 hours. I'm not worried about after the game because we'll be out of there around the 7th inning. That's when the Cubs bullpen should be promptly giving up the game.

This is true. I think SE Wisconsin cops get a hard on for Illinois plates too, I just can't prove it.

The lots always open up 3 hours prior to the game and you can get in the stadium 2 hours prior to game time.
