Phew, I'm not even a Phillies fan but that was more nerve-racking than triple overtime in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. I was driving by the Cell listening on the radio when Buehrle finished off his perfect game last season, but watching one live on tv is tense as hell. |

This was the one thing flyers fans were giving themselves solace for last night. We got to watch the whole game, and the fan next to me is like "Does anyone even notice Halladay is perfect through 6?" I wasn't paying attention until that point and then watched the last 3 innings; by the 9th it was on the big screen while the flyers game was in intermission. was really cool to watch. phillies bats were silent but halladay was just awesome. 11 strikeouts to go along with the perfect game, too, i believe. |
