Yes, I'm that bored. I'm pretty sure Cabrera will win.

All I've learned so far is that the band Train really sucks.

The entries make me feel like this is going the way of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

And I hope Nick Swisher really fucks his back up-I really don't like that douche. If he was on any other team, he would be a jackass. He's on the Glorious Yankees, so they're colorful and cute. Kiss my ass.

I'm completely serious when I say that I have no idea who in the hell they are.

If they were popular like 10 years ago, that fell into my pre-marriage, listening to Korn and Limp Bizkit phase.

Brutal. WHy do we need a band to play before the Home Run Derby again? And Erin Andrews interviewing the guys beforehand was awful. Lazy "journalism". ESPN is definitely becoming Hard Copy of sports.

I would not mind killing Chris Berman. Once, I found the Berman-ism to be funny. Now. Now they make me consider... stuff.

With Corey Hart up, all we need is a Sunglasses at Night joke, and all is well.

So, anyone care to defend the position that Will Ferrel is actually funny?

I like Will Ferrell, but this is awful. And Harry Caray needs to stop. Bad. Just Bad.

The one with Maury Povich, long before he kept telling many of his guests on his show "YOU ARE THE FATHER!" Certainly not the one with Tim Green from a couple years ago...

Quote:
Brodie: After all he's done to you, you should still kinda stick it to him.
T.S. Quint: How do you propose I do that?
Brodie: You stinkpalm him.
T.S. Quint: Stinkpalm?
Brodie: You take your hand and stick it in your ass like this. You been walkin' all day and you're nervous, so no doubt you'll be sweaty as hell.
T.S. Quint: You should see yourself right now, a grown man with his hand down his pants.
Brodie: Yeah i probably look like my old man. So you shake hands with the guy, "Hello Mr. Svenning how have you been?"
T.S. Quint: Whats the point?
Brodie: You know how long it takes for that smell to come off? Scrub all you want, it'll stick around for at least two days. How does he explain it to his colleagues and family? They'll think he doesn't know how to wipe his ass properly.
T.S. Quint: Meanwhile you yourself are left with a hand that smells like shit.
Brodie: Small price to pay for the smiting of one's enemies.

FOX Television Stations and 20th Century FOX Television, both units of News Corp., briefly revived "A Current Affair" about 5 years ago and named the former Atlanta Falcon, author & FOX Sports' NFL analyst as host/anchor. It didn't last long due to low ratings and was yanked after a few months, SJ, circa 2005.

Whatever happened to Maureen O'Boyle? I always thought she had a little Katey Segal in her.

I don't know...Maureen O'Boyle did take over as host/anchor of the original "A Current Affair" when Maury Povich signed off to host his daytime talk show. That had to be around 1994, and this is how Povich wrapped up every show.

Povich: "Until next time, America..."

The other remake that I still see every once in a while is Unsolved Mysteries on Spike. Seeing as though the original host, Robert Stack, is dead, they have a different narrator, but they show the same damn clips from the 1990's.

As an aside, Robert Stack of course came to fame as Eliot Ness in TV's The Untouchables, and later as Rex Kramer in Airplane! :D

SJ, Spike's version of "Unsolved Mysteries" is hosted these days by Dennis Farina from "Crime Story" fame. While Spike's version is geared towards guys, the original was a fave among women when it originally aired on NBC, briefly on CBS & rerun for a few years on Lifetime.

Crime Story was a solid show too.

   Speaking of the Comcast SportsNet anchor/reporter, did you see what she wore on the field during the White Sox/Royals' game yesterday? I know it's been hot & humid, but I could've sworn she was channeling former ESPN sideline babe Jill Arrington...

Erin: Corey, you were in a home run derby in the minors and hit one home run. How does this compare?

Corey: Fuck you, skank.
