Nolan Ryan, who is currently the Texas Rangers' Team President, was a guest this morning on "The Dan Patrick Show". Ryan's group is the one favored by MLB "Commissioner" Allan H. Selig that's trying to buy the team and talked about the uncertain direction of the team in the wake of bankruptcy, how his team was able to get lefty Cliff Lee in a trade with the Seattle Mariners, plus the possibility of Mark Cuban buying the team after MLB owners rejected his bid to buy the Cubs. http://www.baseball-reference.com/playe ... mi01.shtml You'll see in his salaries he had deferred 3M over the last two years of his career. Looks like he was banking on having a bit of a pension from the Rangers.
