Gil Meche has announced his retirement from the game of baseball. He would have earned $12M this season. Great news for the Royals though I'm sure they would have liked to have known this a little earlier in the off season so they could have used that money to improve this years team and maybe convince Greinke to stay. Either way it's a classy move by Meche because he could have spent the entire year on the DL and collected his checks. |

Take the money and run with it... you know that the Royals and Pirates and their ilk all take money from MLB revenue sharing and profit off of putting out a bad product, so how can one derive class from not wanting to cost the team an extra $12mil that they're going to go waste on some other dumb shit over the next year or two? |
