Long-time Cardinals center fielder Jim Edmonds, who played for the Cubs in 2008 and the Brewers and Reds last season, is returning to St. Louis. The Cardinals announced Friday via Twitter they have agreed to terms with Edmonds, 40, on a minor-league deal with an invitation to major-league spring training camp. Edmonds hit .276 last season with 11 homers and 23 RBI. |

Why? I mean, why would Edmonds want this deal? Doesn't sound like that great. |

The St. Louis Cardinals are a nice little ballclub. They have won the World Series ten (10) times. While this is a laughably piteous, and not particularly Glorious, number of titles, it is indeed the second highest amount of championships in baseball history. So they have that going for them, which is nice. |

Remember when the Sox wanted him and just didnt want to go there? Kenny of course claimed it was because Edmonds wanted to play close to his house in San Diego, thats why he didnt go to the Sox. Meanwhile he has played for the Cubs, Brewers and Cardinals since then. All 3 teams very close to San Diego. |
