Bad Boy Theriot

NEW YORK — St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Ryan Theriot has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Joe Garagiola Jr., the senior vice president of standards and on-field operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement Tuesday.

During the sixth inning Sunday, Theriot was involved in a play at second base that pulled him off the bag, resulting in a safe call for the runner by umpire Mike Muchlinski. Theriot ran to Muchlinski and pointed in his face while screaming. Theriot made contact with the umpire, who quickly ejected him, and first base umpire Chris Guccione had to step between the two.

Theriot's suspension is scheduled to begin Tuesday night against the New York Mets. It's unknown if Theriot plans to file an appeal.

he's not good enough to be on a shitty Cubs team, but he's good enough to be the starting SS of the St Louis Cardinals

its amazing to me that Larussa took him...I doubt he will get much playing time, although with Rasmus gone, he might

In a strange way, he changes teams left and right, but seems to go to a better team each time

youd think after the Orioles youre on ur way out

but instead he goes to Milwaukee, then Toronto, now St Louis

I root for him all the way but I think this year showed once and for all that he is not capable of putting together a good full year

theriot is a bum and i have seen his average is under 265 now..zero power , zero range may as well have blake dewitt
