From what I read, FOX Sports wanted a players' perspective in regards to a player that has previously won a World Series after Ozzie Guillen and his thick accent did so the last 2 years. That explains why Anthony John Pierzynski will be joining the pre & postgame of "MLB on FOX's" exclusive coverage of the upcoming American League Championship Series starting Saturday & the World Series shortly thereafter. I don't know if A.J. has a future in broadcasting, but based on what he contributed to FOX32's "Final Word" this past baseball season, he might just have a future behind a microphone. |
