Fox Sports announced today, per USA Today, that once-blond nuisance (and current White Sox starting catcher) AJ Pierzynski would join Eric Karros' pompadour and the formerly frosted, still gelled tips of Chris Rose on Fox's World Series pregame and postgame coverage.

That ball just took a wicked hop and nailed the first baseman in the nuts. Do you know what that feels like Chris Rose? Let me show you.

From what I read, FOX Sports wanted a players' perspective in regards to a player that has previously won a World Series after Ozzie Guillen and his thick accent did so the last 2 years. That explains why Anthony John Pierzynski will be joining the pre & postgame of "MLB on FOX's" exclusive coverage of the upcoming American League Championship Series starting Saturday & the World Series shortly thereafter. I don't know if A.J. has a future in broadcasting, but based on what he contributed to FOX32's "Final Word" this past baseball season, he might just have a future behind a microphone.
