Game 1 tonight. CJ Wilson vs Chris Carpenter. The Rangers got to Verlander so Carpenter shouldn't intimidate them. Not sure how big of an impact the no-DB thing will be but I'm going with the "experts" and saying Rangers win in 5.

Plenty of DB's of both teams.

I think Carpenter shuts them down tonight but the Rangers win the next three, setting up a critical Game 5 start by Carpenter

Supposedly it's gonna be really cold, shitty weather tonight. Not sure how that effects either team, if it does. Does that usually benefit an ace like Carpenter or narrow the gap between him and a guy like Wilson?

Drinky (not our drinky) vs. Snorty

I'm thinkin' Snorty in 6

Snorty is also a recovering drinky.

My predictions...

Game 1: Carpenter doesn't throw a gem like Game 5 in the LDS, but he does give the Cards a solid seven innings...Pujols sees the only decent pitches he will all series and makes the Rangers pay for it...4-2 Cards...

Game 2: Garcia gets his head out of his ass and gives the Cards a quality start...my mancrush (see avatar) hits a homer to wherever I'm sitting in the eight to take the lead and Motte retires the side 1-2-3 in the ninth...applesauce for everyone!!!...6-4 Cards...

AJ seems pretty comfortable on the pregame show.

I would be pretty disappointed if I had tickets to a World Series game with shitty weather like this

True. I don't remember it raining for Game 1 though.

Game 2 was miserable all night until Konerko hit the slam.

Good defensive work there. I have a feeling Wilson is gonna give something up before he leaves.

The umpire just fucked over Beltre and the Rangers.

That was a BS call on Beltre.

Judgement call. It wasn't obvious.

Without Fox's thermal camera, probably wouldn't even know it nicked his toe.

The announcers made a good point in saying that there's no way Beltre reacts like that instantaneously unless it hits him. That has to be taken into account. Not to mention how close it bounced. It wasn't a hard call, McCarver even called it foul in real time a split second after it left his bat.

FF is exactly right. There is no reason for them to screw that call up. Stupid.
