I don't really care much about the Miami/Florida Marlins nor have I ever. I do however find what they are doing this off season to be very interesting. I understand their extensive ticket sales problems at the old park and how they are trying to appeal to a specific local population to increase sales. I just find it a bit odd that they are basically stating that they want to create as Latino dominant of a roster as possible to appeal to what they hope is a new fan base. Diversity amongst all teams should be encouraged. This seems like the absolute opposite and while it may be healthy for their owner and ticket sales it is not healthy precedent for the rest of the league IMO. |

Yeah, its weird if they are being that open about it. Minaya did the same with the Mets though |
