That's a lot of scratch for a guy who is supposedly 32 years old. Gonna make Fielder extra expensive. |

Something tells me that Arte isn't going to seek publicity by lowing beer prices this offseason. Jesus. I own a bunch of Angels swag left over from the Vladimir Guerrero era, so I guess I should ready to name a 2012 Fantasy Team "Tears for Trumbo." What's worse money now: Albert Pujols (10/250) or Vernon Wells (4/86)? I'm going to stick with my boy Vernon. Pujols will at least have ~4-5 good years b4 this turns into a Vernon Wells deal. |

He's going to earn 79 cents a second for 10 years. |

He could be the #4 if they don't move Santana. |

I think Pujols can mash as a DH until at least 40 years old. Guy is a hitting machine. .421 career OBP is ridiculous. |

Who has missed the last 2 seasons with a broken leg. Buy very very very low on him at this point. Angels will be paying $40.8 million per season for only two players |

Write into his contract that he's not allowed to celebrate walk-off home runs. |

I hope Pujols transition from the National to American league goes as well as Adam Dunn's did last year. At least he is no longer in the Cubs division. |

Since he bought the Anaheim Angels from the Walt Disney Company in 2003, Arte Moreno has been one of the shrewdest, boldest owners in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball. As much as I don't like the actual name, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Moreno has been very aggressive in the marketing of his team. I think Moreno had to overpay to get arguably one of MLB's top hitting players around, but by signing Albert Pujols to this kind of a contract, he'll play first base for the first 5 years of his deal and then become a full-time DH for the second half of the 10 year contract. Besides, I think Angel Stadium has a very short fence and I can easily imagine Pujols putting up monster home run totals in his new home ballpark. |

Some of the Cardinal fans around me are cracking me up today. Sign for 250 Million = greedy Sign for 220 Million with Cardinals = not greedy but loyal |

Not a good move by the Angels. He's old, injuries are starting or have been rearing their ugly head, total no trade clause, there is a chance he's older than his stated age, he is moving to the AL. It just strikes me as bad, really bad. |
