Going to be a very interesting team to watch this year. Lots of big personalities in that clubhouse with Ozzie, Z, Reyes, Ramirez and Logan Morrison. Their starting rotation looks really strong and they are still in the market for Cespedes it seems.

Johnson
Sanchez
Buehrle
Zambrano
Nolasco

New U style Unis are cool.

Phillies still better though.

NL East gonna be good

Nolasco is a bi polar pitcher and Josh Johnson seems to always have nagging injuries. Buehrle is prone to 8 game losing streaks.

With that said, if the good version of Nolasco is around and Johnson stays healthy and Buehrle returns to his pre 2010 form against the NL, then they can be VERY good.

I love the Uni's. I think I may get myself the orange hat.

The Big Gay Al's Animal Sanctuary production that accompanies a Marlin HR is strange.

I just read the SI article. I'm surprised the new stadium only seats 37000. They will be lucky if they get half that by june...indoors though, that might help.

81 wins. Injuries, angry players demanding trades, fights in the dugout, manager saying he'll quit every other day. The circus just came to town.

Do they have a drunk red ass pitching coach on staff?

One of the ugliest uniforms in the history of MLB. They look like a single A team in BFE.

I know I;m not breaking news here, but the more and more I think about it - This is going to be the one of, if not the most interesting team in MLB this year.

New stadium
New Uni's
New name
Ozzie
Zambrano
Buerhle
Other big FA's
Live fish living inside of the backstop
That thing in CF that lights up when they hit a HR

I look forward to the 2012 Marlins. Hope to catch quite a few of their games.

dear god, when vlad has to end up playing a bench/4thOF/parttime-DH role for a team, please let it be this one. godspeed!

edit: i'm all in with this team. i have to go buy the stupid hat real soon.... but like spanky said, the mix is just too fucking awesome to not be a spectacular..... something. i have no idea what it's going to be, and it's going to be volatile as hell like changing your name to giancarlo for god knows what reason is perhaps one of the most normal things in the offseason.

ozzie already's showing the team he's willing to get kicked out of spring training games on national tv in the third inning to prove a point. he wasn't put on earth to take anyone's shit, and call me nothing if not an amateur fecalpheliac here.... but there will be a heaping helping of hooey afoot with this team.

so yeah god, if you're listening send vlad there and let me make that little hoe tyler momsen cry just once in her life. thanks!

To RBP's point, a lot of IFs in the starting pitching staff. Ill be curious to see how Ozzie works his pitching staff without having Cooper to rely on. Ozzie also got his wish of Ozzieball. Lots of speed at the top of the lineup. Good chance this is an 85-90 win team.

They are going to be good but I liken them to the Jets of the NFL. When they are winning life will be good but they will not be able to function if there is adversity.

All depends on Ozzie. He has a lot of personalities to contend with. Ramirez, Zambrano, Bell are all mental. If he truly gets them to buy in, I think they will get through the adversity. I lean towards him losing Z though.
