The Oakland announcers are giving Hawk a run for his money with the umpire criticism.

Granted Brian Onora was wrong and a douchebag, but let it go fellas.

Bob & Len should have ripped that ump behind the plate yesterday. He missed a lot of strikes. Oh yeah and Soriano was safe at 3rd,too.

Soto wasn't helping the cause. He set up so far outside that pitches on the corners looked like balls.

I was surprised that Stoney carried the complaint torch today on the pitch that rang up Viciedo. It looked good enough to me, but Stone said it was "a couple inches off the plate". Anyway, it wasn't a pitch to take with two strikes.

Just saw a pair of highlights from the Angels game...Albert gets his first hit with LA (sincerely hope the best for him)...

...and then they show him getting gunned down at the plate after thinking rounding third right as the left fielder is throwing the ball is a good idea...and then he was surprised he was called out.

I'd be there often if it weren't for the 45-50 minute drive.

Big Z is getting lit which is no surprise. 43 pitches through 2 innings while giving up 3 runs already.

Did they do it correctly? Maybe bring it all back to one call on one pitch from 5 innings ago?

Yu Darvish lasts all of 1 inning, allowing 4 runs against Seattle. It's possible he won't match the hype.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought they pulled him. Let's see if he settles down.

They keep signing contracts like this:

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/77962 ... ources-say

they had better hope that 17,000 people spend a lot of money at those games.

Vin Scully is conspicously absent from the Dodgers' home opener for only the second time. The longtime golden voice of the Bums has a bad cold and won't work today's game vs. the Pirates at Dodger Stadium. WOW!
