Magic and Bird Both are really fun to watch and should be at all star game. Last 30 days for both Util Mike Trout --------------------H/AB R 2B 3b HR RBI SB OBP (LAA - OF) ---- 42/116 27 5 --3 -4 -19 -13- .423 Util Bryce Harper (Was - OF) -------34/98 23 2 4 7 16 3 .429 Harper's power is starting to show. Think he ends up better than Trout. But they're both off the charts for Rookies and on good teams that will factor into the playoff chase. Awesome for MLB. |

I could still use a little more power, but they have been scoring runs and hitting like crazy. They have both really helped my fantasy squad; 21-9 over the last 3 weeks after a pretty dismal start.

Call up day was crazy. I was in the car when I heard Harper was called up. Both Harper and Trout were on the 40 man roster, making it open season. Right as I discovered Harper was picked up, they announced Trout was being called up as well. So I have Trout in one, Harper in the other. Both keeper leagues. |

Harper and Trout Sounds like some sort of ambulance chasing law firm that Spada would work for. |

I really regret trading away Trout last year. Got a decent haul in return and won second place dough. |

Trout is better than harper. Mike Trout (2012): 53g 218ab 47r 75h 14h2b 3h3b 7hr 30rbi 21bb 46k 21sb 3cs .344avg .402obp .532slg .934ops Bryce Harper (2012): 53g 203ab 34r 57h 12h2b 4h3b 7hr 20rbi 24bb 44k 8sb 3cs .281avg .358obp .483slg .841ops while they are similar, harper plays a harder position (for now) that's still going to show some effect, not to mention the kid is hollywood compared to trout. the mIRC reference that the cool amongst us can't help but make in their head has been one of the top 1-3 prospects in the game for years, and he got logjammed behind a crowded OF that featured the ghosts of garret anderson and bobby abreu, torii hunter, sarge jr, etc. didn't harper pull up to some high school presser in a hummer limo or something? he's already patenting the clown question phrase i believe.... so like, what exactly have you heard from mike trout this far? nothing. you just get that...and i love that trout took #27, so now the #27 in angels history will end with vladimir guerrero and then mike trout. barring some horrible injury or car accident, trout's gonna be that dude for the angels for a long time. the kid loves to play the game his baseball IQ is ![]() |

Trout had himself a hellava catch yesterday against the O's. Trout is putting up better numbers right now, but both guys are really goddam good. Nice pickups for my fantasy squad as well. |

I've got trout in my superkeeperleague, the one with no limits and ~14 keepers. along with strasburg. poor nas/hova watched me collect this talent and tried trolling me like HOW CAN YOU GIVE UP NEIL WALKER FOR MIKE TROUT!?!?! i've got also got the cuban pimp lawrie and rizzo. someone spent $1350+ on rizzo last year (which in the league is a bunch of money) and didn't even keep him so i noticed him there in the 2nd round of our draft and i was just like LOL. it's karma for me missing out on matt moore, cuz i cashed out moustakas to get cash to get matt moore when he became available, but nas locked the rosters a week into september and then moore came up 3 days after that. i took jesus montero as a consolation prize. btw there are A LOT of rizzo shirts for sale outside of wrigley. this kid's now officially in the big leagues no matter what happens. |

They're both awesome but I still think Harper will be better in the long run. Kid swings with bad intentions. He's gonna hit 50+ bombs multiple times. |

Trout hit another HR last nite, and leads the AL in steals. Could this kid be a Mantle-esque player? |

2-2 with 2 walks, a run, 2 RBI, 3 steals for Trout yesterday. This kid is putting up video game type numbers. Harper had a run and 2 RBI yesterday as well. |

i'm tellin you guys.... trout rockin #27 on the angels tells me something. when you're like THAT DUDE for the angels and you decide to take vlad's #... man... even tho anaheim didn't get the 100% prime of vlad's powers, they got enough to love him long time, and now that number is going away for the rest of the angels.... vlad's gotta be part of the reason trout rocked #27 cuz like vlad in his prime, trout can do it all. it's an honor to watch the kid play. like vlad before him, he's worth the whole price of the ticket. |

Obviously Trout is way better now. He should be MVP Harper is off to a good start though. I think he will end up better eventually. Trout's speed will fade before Harper's power. Trout is Eric Davis right now |

immessedup17 wrote: rogers park bryan wrote: Trout is Eric Davis right now If that is true...then I compared Brett Jackson's ceiling to Jeremy Burnitz and Raul Mondesi. Obviously, or at least I thought it was obvious I was referring to Eric Davis' all too short prime. He was cut down by injuries and then cancer. At his peak, he was one of the all time greats. He could do everything. |
