The STL Cardinal are donning 1982 throwback jerseys for the series this weekend against Milwaukee, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the championship over the Brew crew.

Pretty cool, but no word on whether the Brewer are going to also be sporting the throwbacks. I loved the "M B" four-fingered glove logo of that era.

Nice! The Brewers have to go throwbacks that night.

Are they in Milwaukee? I think the Brewers wear the throwbacks on Sunday home games.

That '82 Crew squad was quite the whip. A young Robin Yount playing SS, and a bunch of power hitters. The pitching was just enough, behind their big ace Pete Vuckovich.

On the contrary, the Herzog Redbird teams had virtually no power, good defense and a bunch of slappy Judy hitters who could run like the wind.

..and Angus, the series is in STL.

Brewer is wearing the '82 uni's Saturday, according to my guy at the ballpark today.

Interestingly, in an unrelated thought, his toddler-age kid apparently almost just got run over by a Matt-Holliday driven golfcart...

Could swear the TB Rays wore some sort of Brewers inspired throwbacks earlier this season.

I think they were what the Rays would have looked like if they had existed in the '70s. Apparently they would've looked like a cross between the Brewers and the Padres:

Not a fan of these new hypothetical throwbacks. What would the Cubs have worn in 1825? I think it would look a little something like this!

The Brewers wear the pin stripe and glove logo on Friday night home games.

The Brewers regular uni's suck. The hat is one of the worst designs I have seen. There is no reason for them not to go all in with the throwbacks.

Which was worse: the women's baseball league shorts, or the peter pan collars?
