Decent group of articles off of the link relating to ARod. Where do the Yankees go from here Stoneroses? [b]Alex Rodriguez unlikely to return to Yankees, sources say, as third baseman is dealing with new drug scandal and lengthy hip surgery rehab Even before the latest steroid allegations surfaced, Yankee officials had already privately begun preparing for the likelihood that Rodriguez would never finish out the mega-deal he signed in 2007. He underwent his second hip surgery earlier in the month. Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseb ... z2JZw0QctU |

If aroid is a good Guy he will retire because of "injury" n let insurance. Cover 85% of that awful contract. N Yanks cover 15%....he sucks now, he will be benched/booed relentlessly. If he stays for 5 years |

Good luck trying to void the rest of Alex Rodriguez's deal. The MLBPA will file grievances right away if the Yankees indeed void the rest of the huge contract. |

What if they tell him he will get zero at bats in the five years, no team wants him...retire due to injury and get your 125 million with no embarrassment or shame.? |

They'll pay Alex to just go away. It's a lot of $$$$ to eat, but you can also thank A-Rod aligning himself with Scott Bora$ a couple years ago for getting even more $$$$ to stay in the Bronx. |

Fine; let's have it out once and for all. MLBPA is going to say multiple drug problems (I'm skimming with that phrase) isn't grounds to terminate a contract? Next thing you'll tell me is companies don't have the right to test their employees for drugs ..... |

I could not possibly care less what happens to this son of a bitch, and, quite frankly, I have been ranting and raving against this thieving, stealing, robbing son of a bitch for so many years now that THERE IS A MISSING LINING IN MY STOMACH THAT HAS BEEN ERODED BY ACIDIC FLUIDS BROUGHT ON BY WATCHING THIS SON OF A BITCH ENGAGING IN CONSTANT FUTILE ATTEMPTS TO CATCH UP WITH MEDIOCRE FASTBALLS!!!! Repeatedly! His bat looks like the lead weights they use to warm up! This son of a bitch is a thief, Bernie Madoff is in jail for far less than the thievery committed by this rat bastard son of a bitch! Let me be completely candid. I do not care if you do steroids, and it is of no concern to me what a player does to his body. I do not know them, and they are not my family. Shoot up heroin, or smoke crack, JUST HIT THE DAMNED BALL! WHEN YOU DO STEROIDS, AND YOU STILL SUCK LIKE A COMMON STREET WHORE SON OF A BITCH, YOU ARE DOING IT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL WRONG, JUNIOR! I suggest this contract be voluntarily voided, or this son of a bitch can go exploring the bottom of the East River for all I care. |

I have seen written before any of the new PED stuff that the Yankees insured his contract. He could say he is done for health take the high road and the money and the Yanks are clear. |

Post subject: | Re: Alex Rodriguez...done? |
Well, before we learned of the Miami New Times PED story a couple days ago, Alex Rodriguez waited until about a week or two ago to undergo hip surgery. He's going to be sidelined for quite sometime anyway, and that might also explain why Kevin Youkilis traded in White Sox pinstripes for Yankee pinstripes in the offseason. |

Well you know he was exposed to it at Auburn and in the NFL. And he did superhuman feats that no one had ever seen before (like 500 foot home runs). I would like to think he was clean, but I can't buy it. |

I still don't think he did but it would be remarkable for a guy to play a bulked up position in a cheating conference in the the cheatingest program in the history of college football and say no |

There are little league photos of him that show a very LARGE boy. Plus he never did anything really amazing physically. His homers didn't go 500 feet. Who knows. With all the protestations he's made. If it ever came out that he did use, he would look like the biggest jackass of all time. |
